When the May 2013 tornado hit Moore, OK,
24 people were killed and hundreds lost their
homes. When one Oklahoman suffers all
Oklahomans suffer. As the first waves of
sadness and horror began to sink in, the reality
of the depth of death and destruction began to
take a collective toll on our entire state,
yet, we began to see the level of faith and
trust in God rise to the surface immediately
from the top governmental leadership down
to the ‘man on the street’ interviews. As the
days unfolded and plans were made to hold a
memorial for those lost in the tragedy,
Governor Mary Fallin asked me if I would lead in
worship and minister at the memorial. The song
IT’S GONNA BE ALRIGHT immediately came to
mind...yet the words were not quite appropriate.
The Holy Spirit put these new words on my heart
from Father’s heart and I recorded a new version
of the song just for the people of Moore, OK.
The money earned from this version will go directly
to the relief efforts for the community of Moore.
