While contemplating all Melinda and I have been through
the past two months, I was spending time just worshiping -
which means I was in a mood to receive! While
experimenting with different sounds on my keyboard,
I came across a guitar riff that reminded me of the
movie Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou...and I love that
movie. As the Spirit would have it, the thoughts I was
having about God being my sanctuary in spite of my
circumstances combined with the power of that riff,
caused this song began to be born! It is already
becoming one of my personal favorites because
it is a song of my soul’s cry to God. I kept the
production simple and stark. I can see people
sitting on their front porches singing this one...
