MP3: The King is Coming

The King Is Coming - Song History
Because of the nature of my testimony - freedom from
same sex attraction - the world tends to not understand
how I could possibly be free...and why I would even
need to be free! To have the world respond that way
is one thing, but to have the church respond that
way - in disbelief - is, quite honestly, disheartening.
This song came as I determined - once again, lol! -
to share my story and the delivering power and
love of Jesus with any who would listen. I can’t
listen to the detractors, born again or otherwise.
Jesus rules and reigns in spite of them!

The Kingdom of God is at hand. How do we know that?
Jesus told us so. What is the Kingdom of God? It’s
ALL about the Kingdom of God! All that we see was
created by God and for God - especially mankind.
The Kingdom of God is Who God is. The Kingdom
of God defines who we are as new creations. It
really is all about the Kingdom! On many occasions
the Lord simply said, “Repent, for the Kingdom is
heaven is at hand.”

Once, Jesus was invited to the house of a Pharisee,
a devout religious man who believed his performance
was the key to the Kingdom of God. Jesus had
something to say about that. He said, "A man
was giving a big dinner, and he invited many;
and at the dinner hour he sent his servant to
say to those who had been invited, 'Come; for
everything is ready now.' But they all alike began
to make excuses. The first one said to him, 'I
have bought a piece of land and I need to go
out and look at it; please consider me excused.'
Another one said, 'I have bought five yoke of
oxen, and I am going to try them out; please
consider me excused.' Another one said, 'I
have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot
come.' And the servant came back and reported
this to his master. Then the head of the household
became angry and said to his servant, 'Go out at
once into the streets and lanes of the city and
bring in here the poor and crippled and blind
and lame.' And the servant said, 'Master, what
you commanded has been done, and still there
is room.' And the master said to the servant,
'Go out into the highways and along the hedges,
and compel them to come in, so that my house
may be filled. For I tell you, none of those men
who were invited shall taste of my dinner.'"

Our God has set a feast of His presence right in
our midst - a feast of the King for those dwelling
in the Kingdom - and has invited us all to sit
down and eat our fill. But many are content to
sit beneath the table and settle for the crumbs of
popularity or wealth or the wisdom of man. Are those
things really what we want to build our lives on and
around - or do we want to build our lives upon
something that will last forever? If you are a child
of the King - or if you want to be - He invites you
to sit at the table with Him in the here and now.
So, let us do that. Let us boldly sit at the table
and enjoy the presence of our King.

“Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.” Jesus
Matthew 6:10 NASB

Come all you fallen.
Come all you wounded.
Come all you blind who would see.
Tell all the hurting,
The disillusioned.
Come all who long to be free!
Come all you weary.
Come all you downcast.
Come all those searching for more.
I know a place where nothing is wasted,
Ruled by a King Who restores!

He rules over darkness!
He rules over sickness!
He rules over death and life!
He rules over heartbreak!
He rules over failure!
He rules over dark with Light!

Chorus
The King is coming to build His Kingdom!
He uses wounded and broken people!
He builds this very Kingdom!
He builds His very Kingdom in me!

The King is coming to build His Kingdom!
He rules in power, bestowing freedom!
He heals the brokenhearted!
Oh, King, come build Your Kingdom in me!

Verse
Come all you broken,
By life embittered.
Come all the ridiculed, scorned.
Tell the unwanted
That Someone wants them.
Tell them to come be reborn.

Come all you scattered.
Come all you lonely!
Come find who you are to be.

Tell the unrighteous.
Tell all the prideful.
Humble yourself! Bend your knee!

Repeat Chorus

Bridge
Hail to the King of Kings
Who rules in pow'r and majesty!
Come be enthroned upon my very life!

Hail to the King Who reigns!
Earth Kingdoms fail but He remains!
Hail to the King Who reigns on high!

Hail to the King of Kings Who conquered sin!
By love redeems!
Come be enthroned upon my very life!

Hail to the King Who reigns!
The name above all other names!
Come scatter darkness Holy Light of Life!

Repeat Chorus and End
