An original patriotic song wriiten by Dennis Jernigan for the 2005 National Day of Prayer.
Song History: Zecharaiah 12:10; Romans 5:2 May 8, 2004 I was honored and privileged to have one of my songs chosen as the theme song for this year's National Day of Prayer. The song "Let Freedom Ring" was a song I received specifically for the NDP. After singing the song several times in Washington D.C. and getting to minister to so many in the political and military realms, I began asking the Lord for a song for next year's NDP if He had one for me. As soon as I heard the for next year was "God, Shed Your Grace on Us" I began meditating on those words...and 2 days after this year's NDP was over, this song was born. I don't know if it will be next year's theme song or not, but I like it and am moved when I hear it or sing it. As a nation, we need God's grace. We are so deceived by the enemy as a nation. My prayer is that this song might be a catalyst in some small way to the hearts of believers and nonbelievers alike waking up to the reality of how far we have drifted away from God's grace.
