Song History

Every successful man, whether he realizes it or not, did not get to where he is all by himself. Maison represents the many men used in my life to get me to the place of wisdom and joy I walk in today. It is easy to surround ones self with those who will use you and abuse you, but quite another to surround ones self with those who will challenge you to greater heights and deeper character. My dad was very influential in making me a hard worker. My grandfather was one who inspired me to love my family – even though he died when I was only a year old (stories passed down from generation to generation are a wonderful teaching tool). My agriculture teacher, Gene Ross, inspired me with the ability to think outside the box and to see the wonder in God’s creation. Even those who did abuse me I have now learned from…things that I want to avoid in my life and in the life of others! Be a man of character and never get too old or too wise to learn something new!
