What inspired this song?

As with several other songs in this collection,
this one was inspired by some of the lies I
used to believe about myself...like I was
unworthy..unloved..unneeded. This stinkin’
thinkin’ led me to try to perform for people’s
acceptance and approval. And as much as
I tried to make people like me through my
performance I never quite measured up.
The day I stopped performing for the
acceptance of others was the day I began
to be rid of the Red Fairy of lies in my life...
and I was suddenly free!
