This song came in the midst of my own personal spiritual battle with the enemy. He is a Liar. That is his only power. Deception - and I know that! During this time, I had just received a song called I Have My Sword and the Lord used that song to greatly encourage my soul during the enemy’s onslaught. After receiving that song, I moved on to the shield of faith as a means of doing battle. As I began to meditate on what the shield of faith really means to me, I realized I needed to mow the lawn…and my lawn takes HOURS to mow! But the Lord met me even there as I mowed the lawn…and this song was born as I rode around the lawn! That evening, I completed the song in its current form. Use it to bolster your faith and use the song as a weapon in your arsenal of worship!
