I believe God surrounds us all with songs of deliverance. I believe He sings over us His love. This song is one of those songs. After a couple of friends asked me to pray for them concerning a spiritual battle each was facing, I went to the Father and cried out to Him on their behalf, and this song was born as a result.

I have often said that as long as I have breath I have hope, and I believe that to be true even after all these years. It is when I put my hope in other things or other people rather than in my God that I find myself in trouble. The wisdom of the world is based on the strength and wisdom of man, and man is beset by sin. My wisdom comes from seeing my life from my Creator’s point of view, even when  especially when  bad things happen. God is always in control even when my life appears to be careening out of control.
