Merry Christmas Song History

This song was born in a very unique way. My wife and children had spent most of the day decoration the house for Christmas and I had worked on putting the lights up outside. As the children gathered in the music room talking with a friend, i went to the piano and began thinking about the joy of just being with my children and how precious that is to me - even if they are growing up and leaving home. I cherish those times together - even if I say nothing...even if I just sit and enjoy their presence and laughter. It struck me that this was the reason Jesus was given in the first place - that we might be restored to and have fellowship with our heavenly Father! The entire song was born in a few minutes. Remember the real reason for the season and worship Christ the King and Redeemer!
