Almost a year ago (January 28, 2019), I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Since it is a neurological disorder, one of my most difficult struggles is in differentiating what feelings are caused by the disease and what feelings I am experiencing are caused by believing lies. One of the bedrock truths I have clung to over the past year is this: Truth is still truth in spite of my feelings, circumstances, temptations, sufferings, or whatever fills in the blank. The bottom line truth of my life? God loves me and wants only what is best for me. Period. God is good. Period. This song came as I looked back over the past year…recalling times when I did not even know if I would have the strength to take one more step…remembering times when it seemed my mind was clinging to reality by a thread…and being able to stay with all sincerity that my God is good and loves me dearly and deeply…and will make something beautiful of the ashes of my life. May this song serve to remind you to come to that same conclusion.
