For my friend, Matt Vandiver. Matt and I lead worship at our church, New Community Church...sort of a tag-team thing! We spend a lot of time talking and sharing about all that God is doing in our lives. As a result, we have a deep trust and sensitivity for one another: One day, after talking with him briefly on the phone, the Lord prompted me with the words "back against the wall." I knew I was to pray for Matt. This song is the result of that prayer: We all go through periods in which we feel our backs are up against the wall. That wall might be temptation, or financial need, or emotional stress, or any number of circumstances life throws our way. The beauty of knowing Christ is that we can trust Him to be the place where we can bring each and every obstacle. He is the Master at breaking down walls!
