One of the things I am doing to leave a legacy for my children and grandchildren is to write stories where they - especially my grandchildren - are the main characters. The story unfolds in a series of books I am calling The Bairns of Bren. Book One - Hide and Seek

- is already available but as I was working on Book Two, called The Light Eater, I began to think about all the perils they will face in their real lives and how I might be able to use a fantasy story to lead them through the process of getting to the truth and renouncing the lies they will face in life. At the same time, I wanted them to never lose their sense of wonder...and then it dawned on me...I never want to lose my sense of wonder a the grandness and vastness of God - like a child seeing the Grand Canyon for the very first time. After all, that is how we enter the kingdom of heaven - as little children. Children easily believe in the wonder and majesty and power of Almighty God. As an adult, I want to have that simplicity of faith...and thus, this song was born!
