During this period of my life I am battling Parkinson’s Disease. It is not easy to say the least. There are days when I fight for my thoughts. There are days of great physical suffering. There are days when I feel very alone. There are many sleepless nights. To be honest, it is quite difficult to NOT focus on myself or my pain…but that does not negate my ability to choose how I will respond to this disease or how I will respond to my God…or how I will live my life. I choose to not allow Parkinson’s to define me. I choose to love on my family and others in spite of any suffering. I choose to exalt my God Who is Healer regardless of my physical state of being. This song came as I focused my thoughts - took my thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ - on the presence of God. He is with me no matter what. He loves me no matter what. He brings me soothing comfort and calms my soul just by His very presence in my life. May this simple expression of Who God is to me bring comfort and healing to your soul as it has done for mine.
