For several days I had been pondering the epic scale of God’s presence. The universe is epic. The Rocky Mountains are epic. The scope of the oceans is epic. Even the microscopic is epic! I love the way an epic movie tells a grand story...how wide and broad and deep and high those stories tend to be! But God’s epic-ness is even greater! As I received this song, I began with simply trying to put together an orchestral montage that would evoke the feelings of an epic movie soundtrack like Braveheart or Gladiator. As the music unfolded in my mind, this song began to be born. I wanted to convey at least some of the epic-ness of God’s BIG PICTURE of eternity and the massive nature of His scale that a human heart could fathom. This song is the result. As you worship with this music, step outside of the box of your human understanding and ask the Holy Spirit to allow you to see eternity and His love and power from an epic perspective.
