This song came 9 months to the day my father went to be with Jesus. To say I have gotten through my grief and mourning at that point would be a lie. I suppose I will always miss him until I am home with the Lord. Time helps but does not bring him back. The only lasting solace I have found is in my relationship with my heavenly Father. He just loves me. Bottom line. yet I don't always receive that love readily as I should. The only thing that keeps me from receiving Father's love is me. He loves me simply because I exist. Seems Like I would catch onto that a bit quicker when moments of grief come. God uses my grandchildren and children to remind me of that fact, because that is how and why I love them. Simply because they exist. Just as I say there is nothing that could ever keep me from loving one of my children or grandchildren, I need to believe that and receive that love from Father for myself - especially during times of great sorrow or anxious thoughts or fiery trials. This song was a simple cry to Father to break through the fog of the enemy's lies concerning God's ability to love me no matter what. Though the demo may come across as a bit melancholy, I hope you can see through to the joy I find when I sing it to Father. My hope is that you, too, would believe and receive Father's love for you as you listen and sing along.
