In 2006, Dennis Jernigan ministered to a group of over 2,000 Crisis Pregnancy Center managers and volunteers for an organization called CareNet (www.Care-Net.org). During the course of that evening the Lord placed it on his heart to create a tangible means of ongoing ministry to these ministers and to those they minister to. His idea was to put together a recording of songs he felt would minister to those who found themselves facing an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy as well as to minister to those who were leading out in the battle for life. The songs were taken from other Jernigan recordings and compiled in such a way as to minister God’s healing and grace. A large portion of the proceeds from the sales of I Will Be There goes directly to the work of CareNet.
Standout songs include I Wanted You which was written for a friend who had been abandoned as an infant, You Are Good to Me which was written for a friend who was facing death, and a ‘just DJ and piano’ version ofPassionate Obesession.
