The recording Daddy’s Song began as a means of ministry to the many thousands who were longing to know the love of God and freedom in Christ Dennis Jernigan had come to know. But the initial inspiration came as Dennis Jernigan and his wife Melinda realized their children were getting old enough to begin questioning what daddy was talking about whenever he shared his story. The night the story was born DJ was merely writing out his story in a way his (at that time) small children could easily understand and process. Many were the nights the Jernigan children cried themselves to sleep to the redeeming love story that becameDaddy’s Song. We have been blessed through the years to hear from so many who have been ministered to by this story-song, whether through the recording, through DJ’s live performance, or due to an assignment from a counselor. As the recording came together, the other songs became integral to the overall ministry of this project. During the last four years, 4 bonus tracks have been added to further enhance the ministry of this amazing ministry tool.
