The storm over same-sex marriage has ended, but in many ways, the need for ministry has heightened. The reality is that I am contacted weekly by people desiring freedom from SSA - or any number of issues relating to a desire for freedom - but because of the current cultural climate, find it politically incorrect to admit they do not desire to be the way they are. I remember as a young man; I longed for someone to tell me freedom was possible…and no one ever did.
I come in contact with people in similar situations, who will never darken the door of a church…but they will read my story…they will listen to a song of hope from the life of one who was in a situation familiar to them. My plan? To keep telling what Jesus has done for me until my dying breath…
This new album will have songs that are born out of my own walk with God—out of my own struggles. Along the journey of my life, I have found freedom in Christ! He has continued to talk with me and has continued to inspire music.

I have been blessed with the wonderful opportunity of recording a new worship/ministry collection of songs we are tentatively calling ‘Dennis Jernigan Classics’. This recording is unique on several levels. My son, Ezra, will act as producer and mix engineer! Dream-come-true stuff for this dad! In addition, we have the opportunity to record in the studios of American Family Association who will then, in turn, help get the news out about the recording via American Family Radio!
Since I am an independent artist - no label affiliation or backing - I am on my own. My pesky testimony has helped see fit to that being my reality, lol! Melinda and I have, for the most part, funded the work of ministry God has called me to through love offerings and sales of our ministry tools (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.) but to undertake such a huge task, we honestly need your help.
We are still feeling the effects and impact of the DVD, Sing Over Me, hearing testimonies literally each week of those whom God has touched through its viewing. We expect similar response to this new recording and are excited about the possibility of getting the word out through the many American Family Radio stations around the nation!
