Song Receivers Seminar and New Song Showcase
On Saturday, August 1, 2009, Dennis Jernigan will be leading a very personal seminar on the subject of song receiving. Having written over 2,000 songs (hundreds of which have been published and sung around the world), he does not consider himself a songwriter, but rather, a receiver. The daylong seminar will include sessions on DJ’s philosophy, the various techniques he utilizes to spur on creativity, as well as opportunities to receive songs – on the spot! The day will end with something we are VERY excited about: a public showcase for the songs received from the hearts of those who attend the seminar! Please tell your family and friends about this portion of the seminar that is completely FREE to them.
To help inspire the hearts of the song receivers who attend, the seminar will be held in the serene and picturesque setting of Tulakogee Conference Center, located on beautiful Lake Ft. Gibson near Wagoner, OK.

This is what God has called me to do:
Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,
Isa 61:3 To grant those who mourn {in} Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
Isaiah 61:1-3 NASB
Be blessed...

A few years ago, I received a song for my son, Israel David, as I welcomed him into manhood. That song is called 'The Measure of a Man'. We have matted lyrics, ready for framing (signed by me!) that would make a wonderful gift for dad. May I also suggest the CD that contains the song? It is called 'Songs of Freedom for Men'.
Also, my new book, 'What Every Boy Should Know...What Every Man Wishes His Dad Had Told Him' will be available by week's end and can be shipped out the day after Father's Day (sorry we could not get it here sooner!). If you buy the book we will include a FREE copy of the CD 'Songs of Freedom For Men' as a 'thank you' for purchasing the book. I really do want to encourage men to walk in their true, God-ordained masculine identity - whether they are a dad or not! These 'products' are my way of doing that.
Go to the store area to find the matted lyrics, CD, and new book!
Blessings,
DJ

We are busy around here! Senior graduating high school, moving daughter and son-in-law from St. Louis, building new offices, garage sale, taking daughter to Texas for a month long ministry trip to Australia, boys in band camp, preparation for ministry trips, finishing up a new book...you get the idea! Once we get things settled down here I will do better at updating the web site and the DJinsiders materials.

CONFESSION
I have been struggling with homosexuality for 3 years and it is ruining my life. I need help but I am afraid to tell anyone.
GOD’S WORD SAYS
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual {forces} of wickedness in the heavenly {places.} Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil {one.} And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:12-17 NASB
DENNIS’S SUGGESTION
This battle is not one to be fought alone. You must find others to help you fight this. I suggest you look into the many resources available at www.ecodus-international.org.

CONFESSION
I've just repented of my most recent homosexual activity with another man. To be honest, I'm scared of what's going to happen next. Every time I get back up I just keep falling down. Hopefully, when I get tested, my results will be negative. Then I'll have to go back in 3 months and get tested again because of last night. Many bridges have been burned and I can't go back to the way things were. My only hope is that God can turn it around for good. I've got so much potential but I can't seem to get my feet off the ground. Sometimes I just wish that Christ would return already but that's selfish. Many people still need to be saved. I just feel like I'm just doing such a lousy job here on earth but I don't mean to. Anyways, I guess the point of this piece of writing to say that I'm just plain scared!
GOD’S WORD SAYS
Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; Though I dwell in darkness, the LORD is a light for me. Micah 7:8 NASB
DENNIS’S SUGGESTION
The important thing is that you keep getting back up and that you run to Jesus each and every time. It is there you will find rest and peace and grace to keep going. No temptation defines any man. No test result defines any man. We are who our Father says we are. Please seek help and encouragement at www.exodus-international.org.

CONFESSION
My problems are due to alcohol and I think I'm addicted.
GOD’S WORD SAYS
As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God…Psalm 42:1-2 NASB
DENNIS’S SUGGESTION
Freedom comes as you realize your true needs are met only in an intimate relationship with the Lord. Learn to thirst after Him as if your life depends on it…because it does.

CONFESSION
I was brought up in the most broken home anyone can imagine. My mother (who I loved dearly) was never married and she had five of us. My father lived with us for a while but was abusive. I decided I did not want that kind of life so I got married and have two kids (boys). But, like my mom I suffer abuse, not the kind that you see but the one that is psychological.
I am accused of unfaithfulness although I have never actually been. I confess I have thought of it. But there is a fight within me because I wanted to distance myself from my upbringing.
So I am suffering the same hurt that I have tried to distance myself from. My marriage is a mess. There is no communication - we sleep in separate rooms but keep up the charade. I think of leaving but I don’t want to hurt my boys.
GOD’S WORD SAYS
…Jesus said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Matthew 12:25 NASB
DENNIS’S SUGGESTION
Please seek a wise Christian counselor and take steps to remove yourself from the abusive situation. Your boys are already being hurt simply by the lack of communication between you and your spouse. They are having to endure the same abuse you are going through...and are learning how to respond improperly to women. Protect your children. Protect yourself. Find a women’s shelter in your area if possible and do not be afraid to use their resources.
